Read More This movie tries very hard to be an edgy psychological thriller but falls very short of the mark. Much of the character interactions are extremely unrealistic and much of the dialogue just doesn't fit. The ending attempts to stun with a twist but is really very predictable. It as some slow parts but overall it is a fast moving movie. You have to pay attention and knowing some of the history of the Knights Templar is helpfull. Read More When the history of the Knights Templar was introduced I thought it was going the way of the DaVinci Code and other books/movies - but it never really committed to that path. I think that was the main issue with this movie. It toyed with several different directions and never really committed to one main theme. The plot "twist" at the end was predictable but also conflicted with pieces that were presented as fact and not just Alex's narrative. However, if you didn't accept the end, it really messed up the whole rest of the story, too. Again - it didn't really commit to one or the other.
Toni Collette is usually in much better movies than this. It was slow, but I kept expecting a breakthrough so I kept watching. At the end, I wished i hadn't bothered. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

hard to follow. The gore was heavy and somewhat hard to take. I left this film still trying to figure out
