A wonderful movie - no Hollywood action, glitz here. Simply a well-told, well-acted movie. Well worth the time spent watching.

Fantastic mix of cast, that work perfectly together, in full harmony with their characters. The story is small and tight, but filled with depth and twists that really bring the emotion of the events home to the viewer. Incredible scenery, beautiful photography, but it is so finely blended that all the elements work together in support of the presentation that you don't really notice them. What hits you like a truck is the pain and humanity of each of the lives touched by the short lived Vivienne. I can't recommend this more highly for any intelligent viewer.

One of the best films I have ever seen...Sigourney Weaver plays a mildly autistic woman & her actily was sooooo good & believable...Alan Rickman ( one of my very favorite actors) was also great & it is great to see him in a leading role...He brings such presence to the screen...This movie is about so many diferent kinds of emotions & healing of the mind, heart, & spirit...And Sigourney just lights up the screen which gives the film great balance so you don't go away from the movie sad at all...You have to rent & watch this one...I loved it...And it is not a "Chick Only" film as some say...Do Rent.....

I know I've said it before but Alan Rickman is wonderful. He plays a man traveling to Winnipeg and along the way is involved in an accident where a young woman is killed. He meets her autistic mother beautifully played by Sigourney Weaver and the two help one another overcome their own personal struggles. A dark theme, but never too sad despite the storyline that actually brings hope in it's message. A unique and lovely film.
