My first words when the screen faded to black were, "Are you serious?! That's it?" If you want to watch a good bank robbery movie I would suggest Bandits or Ocean's 11. Don't waste your time.

This movie is clever and well done. Great cast. Only disappointment is not being able to see Clive Owen's face for most of the film. He's such an interesting actor that I felt a little cheated. However, he did a great job, Denzel is consistent, and Jody Foster is always great. Definately worth renting.

This movie was riviting from the beginning to end. Spike Lee kept the story moving at an excellent pace to tell the story. Well written and well acted, highly recommend.

Very enjoyable. Clive Owen is great as the bankrobber. Denzel is smooth as the hostage negotiator. Christopher Plummer very good as the bank president. Great story. Good acting.

A band of bank robbers led by Clive Owen become engaged in a standoff with police fronted by Denzel Washington in this Spike Lee film. The film's kind of slow, and it's disjointed time line makes things a bit confusing, but Owen's cleverness keeps the film interesting. Also interesting is the merger of Owen's and Washington's agendas as the film develops. Spike's not my favorite director, but he pretty consistently delivers films that are worth watching.
