The set up is terrific, I had to see this movie twice in order to figure out who all the players really were. Jodie Foster has an ambivilent role, you never know if she's a good guy or a bad guy. I loved the last twist at the end, and the sub-plot was worth following to its conclusion. A great thriller which also has a good time with irony and humor! I really enjoyed this movie! The plot was interesting throughout the entire movie and the ending wasn't obvious. Staring at Denzel for 90 minutes isn't a bad way to spend an evening either... ;) WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

The dialogs are lame (perhaps a reflection of our lack of emphasis on education in the US). Older movies have such powerful dialogs that ma\ke you say "Wow ! I must use that sometime !".
If you want a smart action movie try some of the older Steve McQueen movies. If you want action + comedy ... try Lock Stock and Two smoking barrels ... only the British know how to do that stuff really well.

This is a movie that you go into not expecting much - other than stand-offs and shooting. However, it surprises you by actually having a "plot", so to speak. And the ending, well, that totally makes the whole movie. If you're watching it, and thinking it's not to your liking, just wait. The last 10-15 minutes are the best!!!! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
