A white-collar workaholic deceptively persuades his family to forgo their much-anticipated Hawaiian vacation for a cross-country road trip in a fully loaded RV, during which they discover the true meaning of family bonding, in Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld's family-friendly road comedy starring Robin Williams, Jeff Daniels, and Cheryl Hines. Bob Munro (Williams) is overworked and overstressed, and though his proposal to hit the road with his wife and two children at first sounds like a heartfelt bid to get better acquainted with his increasingly dysfunctional family, it soon becomes obvious that he had more career-oriented goals in mind when planning the trip. The Munros have always managed to get by in the past, though, and as they slowly become immersed in RV culture with a little help from a full-time troupe of Winnebago warriors, they might just make it to the Rocky Mountains without driving each other totally insane. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
Another entertaining mindless comedy full or wreckless error and events. Robin Williams is serious about family time and full of good intentions. You can't but help feel for his efforts which appear to be discounted. As expected, has a good message and happy ending.
I thought that RV was a funny movie, great for a family. I did find myself laughing out loud a couple of times, (esp. when JoJo tries to sing badly!) but this wasn't a huge knee slapper, and the storyline was predictable in the end. I would say it worth renting, but I'm not adding it to my collection.
I enjoyed this movie completely. It was funny and it had a very good message about family values. The actors made the characters they played very believable.
One of the worst movies I have seen in a while. I don't know why Robin Williams would even do this movie. Story is not good. Humor is absent. I would not rent this if I was you.
This movie had a boring storyline and was not that funny at all. The comedy is very cheesy and it probably more geared for small children. Robbin Williams hasn't came out with a decent movie since Mrs. Doubtfire -- all other movies he's seen played in have been nothing but a big joke.
