Tim Allen returns as a regular guy-turned-Jolly Old Elf in the second sequel to the 1994 hit The Santa Clause. Scott Calvin (Tim Allen), who doubles as Santa Claus, has settled into his home at the North Pole with his new wife, Carol (Elizabeth Mitchell), and is preparing for another Christmas when he receives a visitor -- Jack Frost (Martin Short), the cold-weather sprite who has been sent to help out St. Nick by Mother Nature (Aisha Tyler) and Father Time (Peter Boyle) after making a scene at a meeting of the Council of Legendary Figures. However, while Jack is supposed to acting as an assistant to Santa, he has a habit of making things go haywire, and as it happens this is no mistake -- Jack is hoping that an exasperated Santa will quit his position so Jack can take over and finally have a holiday he can bend to his will. Meanwhile, Scott has invited Carol's parents, Bud (Alan Arkin) and Sylvia (Ann-Margaret), over for a long-promised visit, but since he needs to keep his other identity a secret, he and his elves are forced to go to great lengths to convince them that they're actually in Northern Canada. Wendy Crewson, Judge Reinhold, and Spencer Breslin also reprise their roles from the first two Santa Clause films. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

I was expecting this movie to be as great as the first two but it wasn't. It was cheezy and the story line was not entertaining.

Movie was ok. My 8 year old lost intrest in some parts. If nothing else, watch it for Martin Short, Alan Arkin and Ann Margret. It was entertaining though

This is by far the weakest of the three Santa Clause movies. Yet it is still somewhat enjoyable. Call me crazy, but I'm a sucker for a Christmas movie. Decent flick, but not even close to the original.

I hope and guess this the last one. This was cheesy, sentimental, heartwarming, too much special effects and funny__in some parts, but entertaining.

I thought this movie was great. I loved all 3 of the movies and hope there are more added to the mix though I think this was the last one. I just thought it was a great movie with great actors.

The 1st and 2nd movie was enjoyable but this one is a yawn. Thin on plot! Would only recommend for children under 10 yrs old.

This one was a little slow and corny. Nowhere near as good as the first two.

Why would they continue the great Santa Clause trilogy?!?! I laughed maybe once out of the entire movie. The only reason i give it a star is because of Martin Short. Martin Short was so amazing in this movie that i wanted him to be Santa and beat out Tim Allen. But even Martin could not save this catastrophe of a christmas film. The first 2 movies were great and they both were funny. This movie was not funny, had a TERRIBLE plot that lasted for about 10 minutes (Seriously. When Jack Frost becomes Santa that entire part of the movie is only 10 minutes and that story IS WHAT THE MOVIE IS ABOUT!!!) I didn't get the name "The Escape Claus" at all and i sat there sighing and wishing i was watching the classic "The Santa Clause" Well, at least Martin Short kept me entertained. It was a sad rip off of Back To The Future 2 that failed miserably. BTTF 2 was great this was terrible. Sorry Martin but you couldn't even save this not so holly jolly movie
