Read MoreAlthough this movie takes place in China, the culture and history of that country are just the catalysts for a young couple trying to "figure out" what love, commitment and marriage really mean. No unnecessary words or gestures are included for fluff, so don't take your eyes off the screen! The ending, however almost broke my heart and I was left to ponder it for the rest of the evening. Read MoreA sad, touching beautiful story of a husband who is a researcher, trying to find a cure for cholera and his marriage as well. A VERY predictable story - I mean you know out of the gate where this is leading, but? Sad & pretty stories are sad & pretty stories. This is the second re-make of this movie (so #3 version) but I've never seen the other two. Lovely performances by Edward Norton and Naomi Watts; and I must also mention a grand performance as well by Toby Jones. He impresses me every time. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
