One of the best I've seen. And I've seen a lot. A moving and exciting tale of oppressed people rescued and given heart by a mysterious stranger with a violent and holy aura. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I have a hard time watching any westerns now after having seen DEADWOOD. And that's because they all pale in comparison. Luckily, Clint Eastwood made up for, and outdid himself, with UNFORGIVEN. PALE ... Read MoreI have a hard time watching any westerns now after having seen DEADWOOD. And that's because they all pale in comparison. Luckily, Clint Eastwood made up for, and outdid himself, with UNFORGIVEN. PALE RIDER is pretty one-dimensional and occasionally poorly directed. I wonder why nobody is ever in town. It is supposed to be a bustling little place but there is never anyone outdoors except for the same 4 or 5 bad guys. Couldn't they hire some extras? It's always cool to see Clint wearing a cowboy hat and klopping into town on a horse but you should skip this and rent UNFORGIVEN or DEADWOOD season one. And season 2 when that is released.
