Read More A very insightful narrative of what religion has become today: A great illustration of the obfuscated nature and interpretations of blind religion. How can one 'know' the root cause of everyday or seemingly supernatural events that surround us??? Very good acting and a well written story! I usually dislike this genre of movies, but this struck a deep chord with me about the preconceived notions of good and evil. Scientific skepticism and myth debunking adds horsepower to this movie's believability. This is a 5 star movie! The critics missed the mark once again as they rated this movie on superficial values. It probably is a little low brow for Hillary ... Read More I actually liked this movie. Reviewers accross the country hated it. The studio sat it on it. But after watching it, I have to say it's not that bad. It probably is a little low brow for Hillary Swank and I'm not sure why she would take a role in a cliche horror movie. The stereo typical creepy looking kid is a little girl that may be posessed by Satan and is really messing up this town. Hillary Swank shows up to prove that stuff is never real and all miracle and plagues have a scientific explanation. So after some really cool scenes depicting the plagues, which are better and spookier than the cliche "BOO" moments that come a bit too often, we get to the ending. This is the weakest part of the movie as it is horribly far fetched. Still, this is a good movie by horror flick standards. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||
