A pretty entertaining film up until the end when it becomes a little ridiculous and finishes with an unintelligible flourish. Better then most movies of this genre but could have been a lot better. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

THIS MOVIE HAD SOME STUPID PARTS & SLOW PARTS BUT OVERALL IT IS WORTH A WATCH. GOOD ACTING. GOOD PLOT. HAS YOU GUESSING UNTIL THE END. IT IS WAY BETTER THAN MOST MOVIES IN THE SAME CATEGORY. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read MoreThis (for me) wasn't as particulary frightening as it was sometimes interesting; so if you are looking for a big "boo factor" here - I doubt you're going to find it - I didn't. Though as I said, it is interesting. Still and all a fair movie about two scientists that are called to investigate a river of red in a smalll Lousianna community & the death of a young boy there - allegedly by his sister just before the river ran red. Hiliary Swank plays one of the scientists who was also once an ordained minister (and who now has lost her faith)and Odris Elba plays the other scientist on the job with her. Neither of them delivered what I would call a great performance here - just sort of bland for me. Certainly not a favorite movie of Hilary Swank's for me. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read MoreNot a horrible movie, but I expected a little bit more. I kind of new it would be religious, but it stayed with proving science for so long. I just thought they would have stuck with that. And it was like watching the same movies that have come out recently. The Wickerman and Population 436. And other movies that are just like this. Without giving the whole movie away, it is just not what I expected and the ending was a little predictable. I recommend the movie as a one time watch just to see it, it did have some good scenes in it. The river of blood did not look that good, bad editting. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
