Read More I love the first Pirates, and the second one (while not up to par with the first) was pretty entertaining, so I actually had decent expectations coming into this one. I absolutely hated this film. I wasted 10 dollars on a nearly three-hour long borefest. Sure, it has amazing special effects and Johnny Depp, but nothing else here is worth mentioning. Read More You don't have to watch a prequil to a good movie to understand whats going on, but in this movie it may help to understand what is going on between the charachters. I loved the first 2 movies, but this was one is hard to follow. Mainly because the diolog is hard to follow. It's hard to hear what they are saying sometimes, because some of the actors are so beant on making their accent sound good that they are not speaking clearly and it's hard to make sense of what they are saying. This makes it hard to follow the story and why you don't know what's going on. I don't usually watch the clock when I watch a movie at home, but this was a real snoozer. There are no good laughs until the end, and that was just a monkey being shot out of a cannon, it's because your groggy that this is funny, and no real excitement until the end. Johnny Depp was not his ussual funny self. This was VERY weird, I was very disappointed. They did leave it wide open for another, hope it's better. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More I really like Johnny Depp in his role as Captian Sparrow. However, there was too much dialog and not as much humor that I came to enjoy with the first one. Very little special effects and low humor. This is almost a "CHIK-FLIK" between Bill and Liz. Overall, this movie has more emphasis on love stories between characters.
