The subject matter is too scary and too complex for young children (under 10 years of age), and the pace of the movie is a bit slow for children of all ages. These types of movie productions keep getting better and better. As far as the subject matter...it was definitely not for anyone under 10 years old in my opinion. This movie was not for adults not for kids - and not that it was scary - but it was BORING. I asked around an no one I know has pets who enjoy it - so who is the target audience? The animation was creepy, in that it was too lifelike. The story stalls and then stalls again and then ends with a disappointing ending. I was in BlockBuster the other day and my 5yr old was acting up I threatened to rent this movie again and he stopped in his tracks! Maybe I should pick up a used copy just for that purpose! After seeing the babysitter in the movie rolling around on the floor with her beer drinking boyfriend, I was very confused. I didn't find the movie very interesting, and it will scare your kids!
