It definitely wasn't as scary as I thought it was but it definitely kept me yelling at the TV for the characters to run. For all those reviews complaining about nothing happening in the 1st hour - you need time to develop a story line. I had looked forward to it as it is based on true events and I tried to view it from a "it can happen to me" standpoint--FORGET IT!
Even the villain wasn't scary nor the horror heart-striking or wrenching. When it came to the kill scene, I just sat there emotionless, thoughtless. It was like any other scene.
Sorry--nothing good to say about it!

Sounds good doesn't it, well the first hour a half is a bore. Some of the clips in the beginning do not even make sense with the movie. When the action comes its good and its a relief when it comes. Read More This is one of the best new horror movie I've seen since the "Bird With The Crystal Plumage". Thought the first 40 minutes or so is intentionally slow - character development - but the rest of the movie makes it worth the way. I didn't know what to expect. At first I thought it was going to be about alien abduction. It turns out that these three people are abducted by a seemyingly helpful old man. Turns out - somewhat clichess - the man is a sociopath. Based on a true story, it looks and feels like it is happening to you. It has been a long time since a movie weirded me like this one.
