As some others have remarked, the funniest thing, by far, about this documentary is watching the more mainstream comics render their own versions of the obscene "Aristocrats" gag. Beyond that, this film has very little to offer. I doubt that many viewers will find it shocking (especially those under 40), and it is shock value that the joke relies upon entirely for its humor. I think this joke might have been funnier about 50 years ago when it would have indeed been shocking. Most depressing is listening to big-time comics like George Carlin do their own versions of the joke and talk about how outrageously scandalous and funny it is. They come off looking like 13 year olds.

I can honestly say that I have not laughed this hard or this long since There's Something About Mary. To watch someone as benign and friendly as Paul Reiser or Bob Sagat launch into some of the most depraved stories a human being can imagine leaves the viewer with two choices: 1) take the stories at face value (impossible for a reasonable adult) and let your moral indignation take over, or 2) enjoy the shocking and inappropriate absurdity of it all. Some highlights don't even involve the telling of the Aristocrats joke at all. Sarah Silverman tells the (probably apocryphal) story of when she told the joke on the Joe Franklin Show and...well, you'll just have to find out for yourself. And Gilbert Gottfried takes the insane point of view of someone who actually takes the joke seriously, and barrages the audience with several questions like, "Why is there blood?" If you are not easily offended, you are in for a treat.

I wasn’t offended by the childishly crude and dirty language. I probably used all of that and then some when I was an immature brat. I just saw nothing funny, or iteresting, about anything in the DVD, no plot, no redeeming qualities, just scatological mutterings and no reason to watch it. I’d much rather rent porn, even if it had no plot either . . . at least I might learn something.

Horrible. I totally disagree with Katie J. who said this just isn't for those "who find shows with laugh tracks soooo funny", implying that only 'vanilla' tastes would dislike this documentary. Like many other reviewers, I'm no prude (I like humor like Edddy Murphy, South Park, Simpsons, Lisa Lampinelli).) But, this is simply NOT at all funny. It took a long time for anyone to actually complete the (very lame) joke, full of potty humor and incest. I gave it about 20" before giving up; don't bother giving it 1".

I've seen a lot of bad movies, but this one is the very worst. I can usually sit through a movie even if its bad, but I could only watch about 5 minutes of this one. Renter beware, if you don't know what this is about before you rent it, make sure you find out. I know some people like discusting crude humor, but what I saw in the first 5 minutes went beyond that.

I'm not only sorry I rented this one, I sent it back the same day I got it - partially watched. Bad joke, bad deliveries, disgusting.
