I liked the people acting in the movie but the plot was just ridiculous. It was drawn out, crude, and weird. It had it's funny moments but I just wouldn't recommend it. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Liked Moore and Duchovny well enough. Huge disappointment was Billy Crudup who I like so much and I just couldn't get with his take on the role. All the stupid faces he was making. He does so much stage work--surely he knows that for film he has to play down. Maggie G--I guess after Sherrybaby which was wonderful, she had to give comedy a try. Great cast but silly movie. Read MoreI would not recommend this movie!!! I kept watching because it said comedy but I didn't find any comedy to this movie!! It reeks of pretentiousness with these NY "downtown" people! Who told both Julianne Moore and David Duchovney they were remotely funny?? Same goes for Maggie Gyllenhaal!!! Billy Crudup stinks and all I can think of when I see him is how he left Mary Louise Parker during her pregnancy and how he isn't credible at all in this picture! All in all a terrible movie!!!!
