It really wasn't like any other movie I've seen. In it, Adam Brody's Carter Webb seems to be around many women of different ages and backgrounds and it's really quite uninteresting to see how he interacts with them. It's got some heavy parts, but truly most of the movie is light. I recommend it as something truly fun and different! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This is a family movie with no sex, no violence and a portrait of a (unfrtunately) 1 out of 3 American families. Watch it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
6 out of 6 people found this review helpful A great movie - fresh and smart. Olympia Dukakis was most memorable as the somewhat senile granny, but great performances by all. Adam Brody proves his stuff here.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More As a movie and as a chick flick is doesn't perform. The movie delves into three new relationships a young man forms after breaking off a long one with his girlfriend. There's too much going on at once so everything seems rushed and therefore the intimacy seems contrived without the proper buildup. The resolution was a cop-out and by that point felt pointless. If the plot had been simplified and the movie runtime extended there could've been potential. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I had been wanting to see it for a long time b/c of the hype built around it. i was let down!! The plot could have been developed much better. it felt very rushed and I did not really become attached any one of the characters. The basic plot was good, but should have been added to. Read More I was disappointed by this film. Brody plays Carter, a soft-core porn writer who has been working on his novel for over a decade and also just broke up with his Penelope Cruz-type girlfriend. The title and tagline of this movie hype up a man's relationship with several different types of women, but the plot didn't fully expand these relationships. The movie seemed rushed and incomplete. The one shining light was Meg Ryan, who was delightful. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More An earnest drama that wants to be taken seriously, sprinkled with brief moments of humor, but the whole thing lacks in so many ways. I was hugely dissatisfied with the juvenile writing by director Jon Kasdan, son of writer/director Lawrence Kasdan. I kept thinking, "Was this written by a teenager?" The characters begin with fine ideas, only then to lead nowhere. The acting, for the most part, was fine, but not great enough to make up for the lack of story. I can't think of a single reason to recommend this film. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
