Read More We skipped this flick upon its release; it simply didn't appeal to our family. Then, today we go to pick up a movie that the store is out of and pick this one by default. I was very pleasently surprised, and so was my wife. We laughed and thought the story was deeper then expected: not your usual formula. Our seven year old is watching it again as I type this. No blood or gore to scare your little ones. I watched this movie with my 12 yr. old daughter. We both liked it. Maybe the first 20 minutes was a little slow with the Interviews, but that was to get you to know what the characters were about. Overall, it is worth renting! At least this one is different since it is told as a "mockumentary." I'm sure I'm not the target demographic, and as such, a lot of the material didn't appeal to me, but there were enough jokes to give me a laugh or two. Read More The animation was amazing but the story...awful. My 6 year old movie adict was completely confused by the beginning of the movie and about 45 minutes into it wanted me to turn it off. We did wind up watching the whole thing another night...but it was painfully boring to watch. This may appeal more to early teenage kiddos but don't bother with the young ones.
