This was cute - nice animation and story that offers the moral of having fun and enjoying yourself & sharing that with friends is ultimately more imporant than winning & trophies, etc. The actors (all good & the children's voices were priceless) were asked to pretty much improvise the entire thing and it works for the most part. It was cleverly filmed/animated as a typical surfer documentary (only with penguins - and one chicken). My biggie here was the strange and poor soundtrack music. This is surfer movie DUDE what's up with the choice of music here? Whatever - watch and you'll see (hear) what I mean. But OVER-all it was fun. The DVD as a whole is very entertaning with several good games on it for children to play on the special features as well as the Acadamy Award winning animated short 'Chubchubs' and the new 'Chubchubs Save Christmas' among other fun things like learning the surfing language. Dude - this was totally tubular! Okay not TOTALLY tubular...but enjoyable.

I thought this movie was great. Even though it's a kids movie there are a lot of things that relate to adults. I couldn't stop laughing, it was way better then I thought and I thought it was going to be pretty good! I recomend this movie to EVERYONE!!! You should enjoy it and if you don't then I wouldnt know what to say!

You watch the beginning & wonder was this movie worth the time. In all honesty, you might want to consider waiting til it is on TV. I was extremely disappointed by they way the movie went & the drawn out method that occurred. We watch a lot of childrens movies with our kids, but when they get up & don't finish watching it ... hmm, there's a major issue.
