This movie was just the opposite. It was not at all what I thought it was going to be about. Be advised, if you want to see a movie with too much eating and drinking scenes, bad acting and awkward sex scenes, then is movie is for you. If not, STAY AWAY, this movie is out-right ridiculous! Read More Yes, the movie was visually appealing, and yes, it was innovating to apply modern music to an historical film, but I think it would have served today's teenager viewers well had the storyline been complete with more history, as in what was poor Marie's fate? She was decapitated due to her excesses. Wouldn't adding that to the movie have been more entertaining and informative than watching Marie cavort with her groupies all the time? This film had music that had nothing to do with this period in time. There were periods of the movie that were very boring. I would not have rented this movie if I had known of it's content.
