Wow, ... Always heard this was a great film and I wasn't mislead. Everyone is just brilliant - it's a film with the power of a first class play viewed from the 5th row center. Before you realize it, you've been sucked in to every single character - you are there. Needless to say, I loved it! Yeah for great film making on all levels.

This movie is amazing! I cant believe I waited this long to see it, I watched for the first time last week and was amazed. Not only in the acting but to see so many familiar faces like Danny Devito and Christopher LLoyd. They did an excellent job. I laughed and I cried. These days there is not much to watch, its all trash and silly humor. The older movies are sometimes so much better than than the newer ones.

This is an amazing film. Milos Foreman does a brilliant job directing it. Jack Nicholson gives one of his finest performances of his career, Louise Fletcher does a sensational job as Nurse Ratchet. She manages to be a cold butch and to have a human side too. One of the best films from the 1970's. Every cast member is great.

The soulless Nurse Ratched, the weak minds she manipulates to be non-confrontational, the uninterested workers who let it happen, all are rejected almost instinctively by Randle McMurphy, who attempts to share his sense of life in a sickeningly bland mental institution. How hard he tries to eject it from his system, and the result of such an attempt at derailing subtly tyrannical Ratched's grip on the patients, is what makes this movie great.
