Read MoreSeeing as I am a huge Jack Nicholson fan, I think that this movie was one of his finest performances. Having watched this movie for the first time about 20 years ago, I revisited it for nostalgia and was impressed by the number of top rate actors who appeared in this film. Louise Fletcher was OUTSTANDING in her role and I too whopped and hollered when Jack's character finally released his frustration upon her. Truly one of the top 100 films. It has a first-rate storyline, superb acting, excruciatingly desolate visuals, flawlessly setting the tone for the movie, and alternates between being really inspiring to amazingly miserable. It features perhaps the most unforgettable film ending ever and leaves the viewer beaten down by the differing emotions, oblivious of what to think of the picture next to reveling in its magnificent whole. What an excellent movie to see all that the young Jack Nickolson can do. This was very fast moving and also showed alot other actors who where unknown up to this point.
