Read MoreI first watched this movie when I was about 14 and remember thinking it was a good movie. Having recently read the book (some 30 years later) I decided to rent the movie as I had heard that Ken Kesey was not happy with the film. Well, I can see why. They really don't do a good job of setting up the desperate situation in the ward and that diminishes the role Jack's character has in mixing things up.
