I was surprised being an RN I'd never heard of Vivien Thomas before. I have no doubt that had Dr. Thomas had the opportunity to go to medical school and become an M.D. he would have been known as one of the greatest heart surgeons of our time! I too am thankful to the producers for making this movie and to learn of Dr. Vivien Thomas' contribution to medicine! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

The acting was fine, the camera work was all right, and the plot was good, maybe even supurb. But the writer/director/editor didn't give the knock-out punch. Sure, everything was good, but there was nothing to take the movie to the next step. Like waiting until the last minute of the movie to give the guy what he always wanted. I think the movie could have been together better so as to really drive home some of the internal feelings we started to have for these characters. Like the death of a main character, it was just like ho-hum, another day at the office to look at pictures, no big deal. In a movie, losing a main character is the climax, not just another day.
