I really got into her character and could feel what she was feeling, her highs, her lows, and I even felt like slapping someone.. lol.. This is a very good, timeless movie, you should rent it... I could really relate to Charlize Theron's charactor. This story points out that first, if you really want something to change and are willing to fight for the respect that is your right you should do it. The strength of her character should be an inspiration to women everywhere. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The abuse of female miners in the 70s in Minnesota. This revolves around the one brave enough in those times to stand up against it. Good performance by Theron and McDormand - but for me the star of this show was Woody Harrelson who plays the attorney. His courtroom speech of "are you RED or are you Yellow?!!!" was amazing and a side away from what he normally does. I had this good but slow moving film about a 3 star until that memorable scene. Woody's peformance kicked it up to four stars for me. MORE like this Woody (please) cuz ya have it in ya. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Great acting by most cast members. There were times though that the script was unbelieveable. Very poor and jerky transitions between time frames and missing transitions too. It that because so much was cut the editor got lost? And how about that ending? After the trial everyone is just peaches! Like there was no afterlife to the trial, to the town, to the men in the mine or her life? What was the director thinking? This was a life altering court case. Enough already. If you haven't figured it out life is hard and at times people will treat you badly. So who wants to spend their recreational time watching someone get "abused". Not me, I will not see this movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
