The history of judo does not contain even one interview of a Japanese Judoka? Imagine a documentary with a title like a true history of baseball and not even one American player being interviewed..

This video is supposed to talk about the history of Judo. I expected an expanded documentary of the founder of Judo, Jigoro Kano. However, his name is mentioned only for few minutes, with poor quality scenes. This video is basically a compilation of fights, with emphasis on European fighters. I was even expecting to see the most famous judoka of all times, Kimura, but he wasn't even mentioned. If you want to know the true history of Judo, read Jigoro Kano's book instead of watching this DVD.
