Wow, Have any of the folks at "Nick" ever been on a farm? Cattle with udders are female! NOT Male. I realize that this was just a cartoon for fun but please let's at least be somewhat educationally correct. Other than that, the films moral lesson of living beyond ones own selfish desires is a good one.

As other reviewers have said, I had a hard time getting past the male cattle with udders. For the non-farmers, udders are where calves get their milk. Anyway, as for the story line, the son cow (actually male cows are bulls) goes off partying while his dad protects the farm, having taken the son's shift. Some young viewers may be disturbed by the coyotes killing the dad and there is one bad word in show when the dad is singing about standing against the gates of ..... The redeeming point is when the son gives up the party to sit his shift alone and fights to protect his territory and his friends come to help.

This was really enjoyable. I laughed out loud quite a bit and the characters voices were all well chosen. Kevin James was perfect as the party cow and his father in charge of all of the animals on the farm was voiced by Sam Elliott and was not only great but we get to hear Sam sing "I Won't Back Down" as he ponders taking on some menacing coyotes out to harm his barnyard peeps. One note on that - the coyotes may be frightening at times to the pre-school set; but, for grade-school children and up this animated film can be enjoyed by the whole family. (but yes, I agree with the majority here - as far as this city girl knows, BOY cows don't have udders - ARE there boy cows? Aren't they bulls?..bulls definately don't have udders - but whatever - it's a cartoon)
