Not expecting much, and ready to use the eject button if needed, I ended up really enjoying this movie. It was silly & lots of fun, and surprisingly was the quality of a feature Disney flick, with beautiful effects and scenery. Just amazing for a TNT television production. Think of a blend of Romancing the Stone, Raiders of the Lost Ark, with a little Goonies and Pirates of the Carribean thrown in.....add a deadpan Bob Newhart, and you've got "The Librarian." The introduction by Wiley was nice, as it also explained that he hadn't done comedy before or an action-type movie and he relished the challenge. He also explains that this movie was the very first time ever that Bob Newhart did an action fight scene. Watching Bob Newhart ask a room full of defeated bad guys, "Anybody else want a piece of me?" just has to make anybody laugh out loud.

Enjoyable flick, like an Indiana Jones flick. Lighthearted, Adventurous, Not too serious with a few laughs.

Not a bad TNT made film. The story is interesting and the fact the movie doesn't take itself too seriously and has a wonderful sense of humor is a big plus.

I loved this movie. It was really good. Yeah, the special effects weren't that great, but it was a great storyline. Something I'm very interested in. And you even get to see Bob Newhart's first fight scene in his entire career! C'mon a 60 something guy kicking people's butts is pretty funny. This is going on my wish list for my birthday or Christmas. When I have children I'd like them to see this.

Deliciously over-acted with made-for-tv-budget special effects, Librarian will make you giggle if you take it for the action-flick spoof it is. If watching a person survive a jump from a thousand-foot high cliff into 12 feet of water doesn't make you laugh, this isn't the movie for you.
