Read More i didn't expect much at first because i've seen a couple of les comedy movies and most of them are the same (predictable/plotless). this one is exceptional with a great cast and interesting storyline. i agree that unless you have subtitles or know chinese it's hard to understand the true story. though the movie was so great that i watched it over and over again and each time having a better understanding of the movie. overall i recommend it. The character development was done perfectly to set up the ending! We thought the acting was great giving the characters a sense of realism. The story line was believable and the comedy funny. All in all we had a enjoyable time watching "Saving Face" Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More An Asian family living in NYC some breaking traditions and some trying to uphold them. Mostly revolves around a Mother and her daughter (and mom has a secret and has shamed her father - and daughter has a secret and shames her mother) All that being said, they learn from one another. This was a cute romantic / situation comedy - American made, but you need the subtitles for the Chinese spoken between family members. This little independent film was a directorial debut for Alice Wu (who also scripted it) and both interesting & comical. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
