THIS WAS AN AWESOME movie.
Now I'm normally a sucker for good sci-fi, but my girlfriend isn't. She HATES anything titled Star-whatever. But we both loved it.
The dialogue is snappy... very funny and interesting.
The visuals are great for a movie that wasn't a blockbuster hit... much better than I expected them to be.
The fighting was incredible... when the lead character River goes into butt-kicking mode, it is truly a beautiful thing to behold.
So overall a funny, well-paced action/adventure that just happens to be in outerspace. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I chose it through Blockbuster Online based on the user reviews. When reading the text outlining the plot, I wasn't so sure I would like it, but, my wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. It was much better than we expected. The plot was good, the acting great, and the special FX were top notch. I highly recommend this movie if you're in the mood for a sci-fi. I loved this story of having to fight a military dictatorship. The visuals were great, the good guys were very courageous, and River was a very interesting psychic and fighter. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
