The editing, lighting and cinematography took a little getting used to. At times it almost seemed like Tarentino had his hands on it for a while. You really have to pay attention to this one to not get lost as it jumps around from time to time. With an all-star cast with cameos galor once I was able to actually watch without interuption I found that I liked it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Good actors and good story line - but movie tries way too hard to be different/unique with the camera movements/colors/flashbacks/plot twists etc. Was just too much and did not all come together well. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This is what you get when you watch this TONY SCOTT directed film. KEIRA KNIGHTLEY portrays DOMINO HARVEY a former model/priviledge teenager who becomes a previously uneducated bounty hunter. DOMINO whistfully teams up w/ head honcho ED played by MICKEY ROURKE and his accomplice CHOCO to take on all kinds of crminal misfits. You cannot take your eyes away from the screen especially when DOMINO is showing her wild tendencies and bad attitude. The casting of LUCY LUI and CHRISTOPHER WALKEN in their small yet effective roles only adds more excitement to an already tense scenario that involves the MAFIA, AFGHANISTAN REBELS, REALITY TV, and the FBI. This movie is eye absorbing and mind exhilirating. Superb performances and no guidelines make this all-action adventure very satisfying and I am engulfed w/ all that goes on. Read More This movie has everything to be a good action hit. Terintino styled screenplay, Sexy Leading lady, Cool Supporting actors, and a funny performance by Monique. But what does it lack...DIRECTION. Scott's direction is awful, no it plain stinks. He states that he wanted to have an "acid trip" type of feel. Well it is more like a bad trip. His direction and camera-play is hard to follow and pointless. This movie would have been much better if it had well Dirction. Good to watch on a rainy day or if you need a Kiera fix, otherwise dont bother Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

A story so fictionalized as to be beyond belief. Tony Scotts "kinetic" shooting style using crank cameras and color distortion might work in a short commercial, but in a movie it becomes exhausting.
On the bright side, Mickey Rourke was outstanding, and the extra about the real Domino was interesting. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More The movie starts out with this text across the screen: "Based on a true story - sort of". That about sums up this fun but completely fictional story that IS however "based on sort of" the real life character Domino Harvey a model turned bounty hunter who was the daughter of wealthy celebrity parents. The movie uses her life and that of the two bounty hunters she worked with in real life and places them into a fictional but quite interesting story. Keira Knightly as Domino is amazing. Mickey Rourke and Edgar Ramirez as her fellow bounty hunters & Christopher Walken as the TV Producer following them around for a reality TV show all give great supporting roles. Watch the special features where you will see the REAL Domino (who dies in real life before the movie is ever released) and also see interviewed the other two men that worked with her who where portrayd by Rourke and Ramierz in the movie. Keira Knightley is not believable in the role of Domino Harvey. The director spent the first 60+ minutes of the movie giving you background on the characters and then spends a whopping 30 minutes on the story / plot of the movie. Add to that the poor "flickering" visuals, lack of any true action sequences and your left with a 3 second shot of Keira Knightley's breast and nothing more.
