I didn't think if this movie would be as good as it looked, boy was i wrong. It was an excellent movie and i was sold on each character. There needs to be more movies made like this. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read Moremildly entertaining at best. violence: could go on basic cable unedited.(theres plenty of shooting, but no original mob "whackings" like you'd expect in this type of film(like goodfellas and casino)) confusing. nicholson is a washed up actor. rent it and forget it. comparing it to goodfellas???? not even in the same league. most of the actors try too hard to be convincing. i kept waiting for the violent climax, never happened. Even the music was the same 2 songs and a hooooorible rendition on pink floyds comfortably numb. I don't know what to say, you'll see when you rent it.
