Yes, lots of fight scenes, but you don't rent films like FIGHT CLUB to watch drama but instead to watch action. It was filmed well, well paced, and overall entertaining. If you are up for a little blood and hard to understand English, this is a movie for you. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

In fact, the only reason I rented it was because it showed up with 4 stars when I was trolling for movies. But, my husband and I really enjoyed the movie. We had to strain a bit to understand the London English but overall you could get the gist of what was being said. Being an American it's hard for us to relate to how fanatical Europeans can be over soccer (oops, I meant Football). This movie provides a very interesting perspective. Read More Now that was a good movie! At first I thought it was going to be really boring, turns out it was the complete opposite... it kept my attention practically the whole time. Although I didn't understand some of the language sometimes, the plot and theory of it all was great! I rate this four stars... I mean it's not a five star Titanic movie but it's up there :) will defiantly watch again Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More i didn't have high expectations for this movie and was a bit taken back in the beginning by all the cursing but after getting used to the British accent the movie really started to pick up. My girlfriend thought the movie started a bit slow but got really exciting at the end. I thought it was perfect the entire time. it kept me on my toes and wanting to see more. I almost want to go to London now. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Froto goes Cockney? Wood is a horrible actor which is magnified considerably because of the supporting cast which outshines him like the sun to Pluto. The story has some interest especially around World Cup time and the lack of American knowledge about Football, English style. There are some really crazy mothers in the U.K. and this film gives a glimpse of some of them. Save your time and money and DON'T see this with your girl or wife. They will run like hell. Read More I am trying to recalling another film as nonsensical as Green Street Hooligans in terms of psychology (the brother-in-laws' actions in his initial scene make zero sense for the remainder of the film), morality (let's promote non-violence by showing scene after scene of guys beating the bloody bejesus out of each other) or believability (the main character is just full of questions--except the most obvious one: What happened to the Major?). You'll know what I mean once you've seen this trash masterpiece. The German-born director (who triples as co-writer & co-producer of this first full-length film) has here rounded up a talented bunch of actors & then handed them dreck (which, I'll admit, is nicely photographed). Elijah Wood fares worst: Shown next to the rest of the good, believable--if thuggish--cast, he simply looks silly. After you've finished this junk, remind yourself that all this violence is over which football team these twits support. No wonder the Brits lost their empire.
