This brilliant piece of work creates a poignant story about loyalty and relationships with such a simple plot, unique cockney rhyming slang dialogue and brilliiant acting on all acounts. Elijah Wood and Charlie Hunnam are both 100% on mark with their characters. The story flows with a refreshingly un-staged rhythm. The dialogue between Wood and Hunnam are so natural and every-dayish that anyone, especially young audiences, can relate to the storyline. There is one scene in that has a bit of processed drama in which Wood's character and his father have a less than pleasant conversation. Here you can tell they're "acting", but I guess it was the point of the whole scene since the relationship of the two characters was estranged. Brava to director Lexi Alexander. The tone of the movie was just right and made for a good, enjoyable drama.

I was not expecting much from this movie as I sat down to it. I was surprised when I could not take my eyes off it. Definitely an adult must see.

This was a very good movie. I didnt realize that the people in England took their football so seriously and that they have "gangs" that they call "Firms". The story was very entertaining.

I watched this flick 5 times and will buy it for my collection. Don't rent Football Factory because you saw this movie. I was terribly disappointed with Football Factory. GSH has actully gotten me interested in Firms and the Hooligan way. I've done much research on the subject and GSH is a very real life movie. Firms do exist and this extra curricular activity around European Football, which really took off in the 1970's is alive and happening still today.

take the time to rent the movie and come to your own opinion. i didn't expect much from it, i knew the premise, knew these types of guys (soccer hooligans) are very real in england and took it from there. the fight scenes were great, the acting on the english end of things was very good, and elijah wood was decent, though he didnt seem "right" for the part, but wasn't bad. if your into agressive movies then rent it. i do agree the end was kind of like "WHAT?"
