Even if you don't watch FOX, it's good to see how media can change mass opinion so you don't get sucked in. Must see.

First off, I'm the son of the name above, typing in her stead (only I saw it.) I used to like to watch Fox News, but lately I've shied away from all cable news. This documentary illustrates some of the reasons why. This is NOT a left wing propaganda-mobile. This does NOT have the flaws that Fahrenheit 9/11 had. It really exposes legitimate discrepancies in the way Fox News handles the news. The part I liked most? It was almost imperceptible. When one of the speakers quickly mentions that ALL the major networks do similar stuff, but Fox takes the cake. That's what I love about this. It doesn't say; "don't watch Fox, watch CNN." It simply says; "look at what Fox is doing." Whether you love, hate, or are not sure about Fox News (or major network journalism,) I suggest you give this a try, if for no other reason, than to know what is being said (and by whom.)

WoW! Great Documentary! Even if you are a conservative republican minded person,..... without even realizing it, watching Fox all day could really bias your view even more!!! I have to believe that people DO want "Fair and Balanced" news reports...what I don't understand is how Fox gets away with calling themselves "fair and balanced"!!??!!??

Every news station and reporter has bias. They cannot escape basic assumptions and perspectives. But the news media must try to present all sides accurately and be nonpartisan. Fox News utterly fails to do this, as this important documentary convincingly shows. "Outfoxed" makes its point without being shrill or taking cheap shots. The beginning is weak, and the music is occasionally annoying, but the information is excellent and disturbing.

"Outfoxed" is 77 min of wailing about Fox News' unfair success. It focuses solely on how FNC "shapes" the news, implying that it singlehandedly got President Bush elected- not once, but twice. It doesn't show how FNC compares with the bias exhibited by other news organizations, but relies solely on former Fox employees and interviewees from liberal media (Vanity Fair, the New Yorker, Air America). The filmmakers are outraged by a successful network that does not conform- it threatens our very democracy and "we have no right to hand that to our children!" Some people think unbiased means agreement, as in the continual denigration of conservative principles. I can agree with 'Outfoxed' on one point: FNC leans conservative. The film uses misleading tactics such as representing FNC's commentary shows as biased news, implying conspiracy to suppress the voice of the common man, and repeated misrepresentations. What about the "mouthpieces" for liberalism?

This was one of the worst films I have ever seen! Was it made with a power point program? What a joke! And how do we know the "past employees" are just that, they are all anonymous! I am always amused when I see reviews from people who only listen to one side. You people lighten-up! Do you think for a minute that NBC, CBS and ABC are giving you unbiased news? I think the facts, and recent news anchor terminations clearly answer that question. Do not believe everything you see or hear in the media, especially when you are only seeing orchestrated sound bites as you did in this pathetic film. Obviously, ethical news reporting is a dying breed, regardless of which so called "news network" it is on. The media has become a cess-pool that spews out whatever will lure-in viewers, it is slowly dividing our country, if not our world. Be informed!
