It was cute, more of a satire than funny, especially enjoyable if you enjoy the making fun of art and artist. As they say, art is in the eye of the beholder and if you think it is art than art is what it must be. Kind of like watching those people on American Idol that can not sing but they think they can.. Seeing people who think they know art and are artist making fools of themselves. It is on the dark side so do not expect a funny happy ending.

Movie was pretty funny. It was funnier than what i expected. based on the cartoon. My girlfriend is an art major and she said thats what it is like, people just saying dumb stuff and how anything is art. There were a lot of funny characters. two funny guys from "Grandma's Boy". It lacked a strong ending, but other than that it was a funny movie if you enjoy the sense of humor used.

This film reminded me of "Office Space"--brilliant when setting an atmosphere and terrible when telling a story. I don't want to give away too much, but if you lift the "murder mystery" angle out of this film, it's excellent. The depiction of life in an art school (and the frustrations of a real talent in the presence of so many frauds) is scathingly accurate, and the use of the slow movement of Beethoven's Fifth Piano Concerto to depict the simple soul and true artistry of the main character is pure genius. Too bad Hollywood got its paws on this one.
