What a disturbing movie - exactly as a good thriller should be! Overall I'd give the film 3 stars but the acting and directing was excellent and their ability to portray how truly grotesque and evil "Evilenko" is, without being overly graphic is worth at least 4 stars. Definaly worth a rental if you enjoy psychological crime thrillers!

I disagree with the other reviewer that this movie was not overtly violent. I found several scenes incredibly disturbing and gory, and actually thought the filmmaker went too far. A better movie would have allowed the viewer to inject his or her own imagination, rather than shove the disgusting images down your throat. Overall I found the movie far too plodding and slow, although well acted. I am a fan of the horror/thriller genre, as well as serial killer movies (they're satisfying when the killer is brought to justice), but really didn't like this one at all. Very boring and slow, when it wasn't too gruesome.
