The toughest man in the American military faces a new kind of challenge -- looking after four kids in soccer-mom suburbia -- in this family-friendly comedy from Walt Disney Pictures. Shane Wolf (Vin Diesel) is a former Navy SEAL who was assigned to protect a scientist working on a top-secret defense project for the government. Despite Wolf's efforts, however, an assassin slipped past him and murdered the man he was guarding. The inventor's project is still being stored in his home, so Wolf has now been assigned to protect Julie (Faith Ford), the scientist's widow, as well as her four children, Zoe (Brittany Snow), Seth (Max Thieriot), Lulu (Morgan York), and baby Peter (Kegan Hoover and Logan Hoover). Wolf has had years of military experience in some of the most dangerous places on Earth, but he doesn't know much about raising kids, and he soon discovers his new job demands he be a nanny as much as a bodyguard. The Pacifier also co-stars Brad Garrett, Lauren Graham, and Carol Kane. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

I've not been able to view a Vin Diesel film since "The Fast and the Furious," which I hated. This was an exception, but I believe my enjoyment was credible more to the supporting cast than the star.

If you liked Kindergarten Cop you'll enjoy this one too. This is the first of Vin Diesel's movies that I've watched and he was pretty good in it. He's still got a ways to go before he joins the ranks of Arnold and Bruce as humorous action heroes but kids won't notice that he sounds a bit too stiff and rehearsed.

The TV spots for this movie are much more fun and upbeat than the film itself. The film is a mixture of Uncle Buck and Kindergarten Cop, although no where as good as either... If you have never seen either of those movies, you may very well enjoy this one... however if you have seen the other ones, you probably will not be able to help thinking that this one is just a cheap, cheesy knockoff, and when will it end?

Good Movie. Very similar to Kindergaarten Cop.

My husband and I watched this movie with my mother, my ten year old niece and our four sons. We all laughed out loud several times. I don't generally enjoy these kinds of movies enough to actually exert energy laughing. We found it to be very enjoyable.

This was not what I expected at all. It was poorly written, as well as not very funny overall. It was a bad movie I would not recommend.

I am a parent with rugs rats myself. My house is covered with kids ranging from 5 - 18. All the kids between 5 -14 seemed to really like this movie, great for the little ones. Parent's you bare it because your kids are laugh which makes you laugh and you have to give it as my wife says a "CUTE" rating. I had a hard time believing VAN Diesel is a military guy, something was lacking. But I had good time watching with the family.

The Bad: The movie has little to do with reality. The military aspects seem to be right out of what Hollywood thinks the military might be like...possibly. The bad guys are right out of a James Bond movie, and there is even an underground highly booby-trapped secret hideout. But even with all of this nonsense it is still out weighed (overall) by... The Good: It's just funny. A decent movie to watch with the kids (depending on age, of course.) It's a silly movie that family can enjoy.

This movie was OK, but I didn't really enjoy Vin Diesel in it, I was very disappointed by his character. Good family movie, probably better for kids, but I would not call a must see.

It seemed like Vin was struggling to cheese his way through this happy-go-lucky Disneyfest about a murdered father and international ninja terrorists. Only a couple of ha-ha laughs, not nearly as good say... Kindergarden Cop.

Actually had a storyline. Disney sometimes entertains adults as well as children

This is a genuinely funny movie. It's clean and family friendly, but lacks the blandness and nonsensical humor that mars most family comedies.

This is a very funny "fish out of water" movie.
