This movie is just a mess. The plot is actually not all that bad. Unfortunately, the acting is horrible and the direction just seams to jump around. This type of movie should make you feel like it could happen and 88 Minutes falls completely flat in that aspect. It seams like a movie that was thrown together with no thought and a very low budget. It was made a couple years ago and the release was held off for very good reason...it sucks! People will go see this movie because it has Al Pacino, and will be very let down!!

I really enjoyed this movie. Classic story of a serial murderer that no one knows for sure who it is. My only problem with this movie is simply that I think Al Pacino should not be doing these movies. This is a nothing movie that will not be up for anything special. In a few years, people will ask, "Did you ever see that one movie with Al Pacino?" I really hoped for much more. However, this was a decent movie.

As a Pacino, venue the movie falls a flat -- Normally very good actors are sorta stumbling around their roles--which is the fault of the director then -- I got a sense Pacino was being asked to tone down his usual style which then isn't, well, Pacino. Interesting & entertaining enough psychological thriller but needed a bit more "umph" to make it a five star. However, it holds the viewer in their seat -- not on the edge necessarily, which a good thriller should -- but in it.

I thought I couldn't go wrong with Pacino. Wrong. He talked too much, into a phone, and the acting was animated. Was Motorola costarring?

I had the misfortune of seeing this one at its “World Premiere” at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. At first, I thought the fact that Al Pacino was there but didn’t address the crowd was disappointing. However, after this mess was over, I completely understood why. What could he say other than “Sorry, folks.” It’s telling when a movie that’s been out overseas for more than a year is re-released as a “world premiere” back in the States. But just like bad cheese, it doesn’t get better with age or repackaging. In short, this completely incoherent and silly farce, that’ dares to take itself seriously won’t please fans of thrillers or those who remember Mr. Pacino in many better movies. And it’s not even enjoyably bad. The only solace is that there is a certain clarity in its ineptness. Now when asked a trivia question about what is Al; Pacino’s worst movie, we now have the answer: The longest 88 minutes you’ll ever experience.

I enjoyed this movie, despite the murder/torture scenes. It had an exciting plot. I think Al Pacino is still a very good actor. However, it was pretty disturbing to me. It gave me nightmares. I do tend to be on the sensitive side however. I think I should stick to PG rated movies.
