Tongue-in-cheek humor prevails in Batman, a witty homage to the Dynamic Duo's exaggerated exploits. The Caped Crusaders (Adam West and Burt Ward) are called in as a last resort when the criminal masterminds of the millennium team up to conquer Gotham City by turning the U.N. Security Council into dehydrated dust; among the villains are the Joker (Cesar Romero), Catwoman (Lee Meriwether), the Riddler (Frank Gorshin), and the Penguin (Burgess Meredith). The entire cast is excellent, particularly West and Ward, who distinguish themselves among a standout list with hilariously straight-faced performances. The film includes some truly memorable scenes, highlighted by a particularly tenacious shark with a vertical leap that would put Spud Webb to shame and a bomb on the waterfront with no place to explode (nuns, infants and lovebirds beware!). ~ Jeremy Beday, Rovi

Very entertaining. Some wonderfully cheesy moments. The rubber shark attacking Batman & the scene with Batman trying to get rid of the lit bomb off the pier, are just some of the classic scenes. Adults will find it very funny and you can watch this with your kids around as well. Oh and most of the villains are in this one too.

ADAM WEST IS BATMAN. Plain and simple. No one else can be Batman. It is because of this that this is the only Batman movie to see. If you are a true Batman fan you will have seen this already and if not, see it. It is funny, campy, weird, and wonderful.

I first saw this as a kid and again not long ago. it's just as campy and cheesy as ever and I loved it! :) I only wish Warner and Fox would settle their issues and get the series out on DVD.

The Batmobile, Batboat, Batbike, Batcopter. They have them all here plus more! Great cheezy humor you would expect from the campy duo.

I remember seeing this movie in the theaters when it came out in 1966; even at eight years old I was amazed at how Adam West and Burt Ward could deliver those corny lines with a straight face. If you want to know what the Batman TV series of the 1960's was like in a nutshell, this is the movie. All the villians and gadgets from the TV series are in the movie. Do not mistake this for the recent Dark Knight series or the Tim Burton Batman films. This movie and the TV series were high camp, but they were truly fun to watch; and for me, an old timer they bring back alot of fond memories.

this movie is terrible in a good way. its hard to explain, but once you see it you'll understand. it's basically intentionally corny. of course, this definitely isnt the "real" batman. dont expect to like this just because you like batman. me, i SERiOUSLY prefer christopher nolan's modern masterpiece, but this is a fun little comedy. speaking of that.. why the heck isnt one of the categories "comedy"?

I remember watching this as a kid in the 60s. It is a great way to introduce your kids to Batman. Great fun, and looks good on Blu-Ray
