The year is 2095 and the ancient Egyptian gods have returned to Earth to cast judgment on the falcon-headed god Horus in this epic fantasy from comic-book creator Enki Bilal. Given only one week by the gods to preserve his immortality, Horus must search New York City and find both a human host whose body he will inhabit and a willing mate to continue his legacy. As the enormous pyramid of the gods looms ominously over Manhattan, a beautiful and mysterious young woman named Jill wanders the streets in search of her true identity. With striking blue hair to match the azure tears that stream down her cheeks, Jill is joined in her search by a doctor determined to help her unlock her true power. In the Immortal world, reality is limited only by imagination, and the futuristic city is inhabited by creatures never conceived in even your wildest dreams. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

My husband and I rented this becuase the synopsis sounded interesting and it looked like a cool movie. We were so wrong. The story makes no sense and goes nowhere. I really didn't like that all but a handfull of characters are CGI - bad CGI. I have video games with better graphics than this movie. I kept waiting for the movie to explain itself and it NEVER does. It was such a waste which sucks becasue it had the potential to be so cool.

A visually stunning film. If you are looking for your garden variety "Friday night date movie", this isn't it. But, if you are looking for an imaginative and intense look into the future then grab this one! In the vein of Blade Runner, iRobot, and The Fifth Element, the creators of this movie successfully blend CGI and live action into a beautiful and thought provoking movie to watch!

I has been said-this one is not for everyone. If you like sci-fi, animation, art, and certainly comics you would enjoy it. Not all the answers are provided - hear the questions and then use your brain and imagination to find the answers! (Somewhat similar in style to "Akira", "Heavy Metal 2000", "Blade Runner" ...)

I usually don't pay attention to the reviews on this site, but in this case I probably should have. Whomever said that the CGI characters looked out of a bad video game was 100% correct. The previews are misleading, because it only shows the live actors and Horus, who was somewhat well done (especially in comparison to the other characters). It was odd to see such poorly rendered characters against a backdrop that was so well done. The dichotomy was entirely distracting and made those scenes utterly unwatchable. Then, you have a cast of live actors with the audio out of sync from their lips. The story seemed okay, even good, but I could barely make it past the halfway mark before I gave up, which is something I hate to do regardless. Skip this.

The preview is much better than the movie, and it was a waste of time. Bad CGI, no plot/storyline that made any sense, jumps all over the place. And who/what was John suppose to be??

This is a much better movie than most are giving it credit for. If you are looking for armaggedon or independence day kind of sci fi it's not for you. If you are into independant art house films or anime you will probably find it much more to your taste

Pretentious, muddled directing, terrible dialogue, this film is a real triple threat. They should pay you for watching it. I would rate it lower if they had negative stars.

I thought, from the previews, that this was going to be a cool movie. I was wrong. The movie is visually stunning and the combination of animated and live actors is alright, but the story is contrived and convaluted. Whoever wrote the dialogue, needs to go take a class or something in writing. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

I watched this movie on standard DVD & loved it. While some people will not understand it I thought it was very thought provocating. Greywolf

It was too deep, stupid and boring for me, and yes I usually like a good cartoon. I found heavy metal great, this sucked.
