However, own its own, the movie was great and well worth watching. But, ABSOLUTELY read the book! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Without the deleted scenes, the movie still made sense, but they added a LOT to help me understand even better (I haven'y read the book, yet). I would recommend watching the deleted scenes before you watch the movie, since most of them come at the beginning anyway. The only thing that prevents me from giving this movie five stars is some mild language. But I'm kinda strict about that kind of thing. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The special effects were superb. My only other comment would be that the movie and DVD would have been greatly enhanced by the inclusions of the deleted scenes. Thank goodness they have been perserved on the DVD. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

All the good back story, which would have made this a better movie, were stuck in the deleted scenes. Read the book. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

But the movie overcomes these flaws. The actors fit their parts pretty nicely, and work very well with each other. And it's such a great book, the story really comes out well. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
