I usually don't like movies with Cameron Diaz. However, I really enjoyed this one. Of course Diaz wore a bikini in most scenes (the guys should like that) and there's a love story for the girls. I didn't like Toni Collette's teeth. I kept thinking... she would be attractive IF her teeth looked better. Enjoy the movie.

It took me an hour to begin to enjoy the film. Cameron Diaz's character was annoying and I got the point early on that she was a distasteful creature. I didn’t see the chemistry between the two sisters but I must say, Shirley MacLaine’s performance was believable. Her depth transcended that of her colleagues and I found myself relieved and again involved whenever she appeared on the screen.

Only two things about the movie bothered me: 1. Cameron Diaz's face really showed her age and that she was far too old to play someone so immature. 2. Her sister was supposed to be losing weight throughout the end of the movie (which had a lot to do with her new lease on life) but it was obvious the actress did not lose an ounce. Other than those two annoying things I liked the movie. Also, I wish the red-haired Grandma said funnier stuff.

I wouldn't ask my husband to watch this one. I'm sure he'd fall asleep! My 13 year old daughter really liked it. Good story line and super characters. We liked them all! A must see!
