While this was a good movie, the constant going back and forth between time periods made it difficult to follow the plot. Previously dead characters would spontaneously appear in new scenes and then be referred to as dead again - and this would happen again and again. The storyline was so confusing, you might have to watch the entire trilogy back to back as well as watching this movie more than once to understand the big reveal. The acting and directing were very well done. The Dolby 5.1 audio option made good use of surround sound. As for extras, there's three trailers for the movie and a "The Making Of Infernal Affairs 3" featurette (12:03 min). Recommended only for fans of the first two movies.

Like many great movies the success of the initial movie spawns sequels. While I appreciate the fact that this one returned to the original storyline and cleared up some loose ends, it lost the magic. The hope that Yan would eventually get out and live the good life is totally gone and that takes the tension of the movie with it. Anyone who is still upset with Ming for get out without any repercussions will enjoy his getting his just desserts.

Confusing ! The first one is the best, the second one was okay, now the third one, I think the director went too far..

There were many scenes that I had to rewatch and figure out for myself. The movie lacked momentum

I absolutely LOVED the first movie! This one sucked. I'm sorry, but it did. it started off very slow and I didn't really understand what in the world was going on. I had to keep rewinding it. They should have left out the flashbacks because it was very confusion. I didn't want to see the same characters again who died! I don't really recommend this movie at all. It is nothing like the first one.
