I think I slightly laughed a couple of times. I couldn't believe how much nudity there was in this movie, didn't expect that. I have only seen the edited for TV versions. Read MoreThis movie, in my opinion is Chevy Chase's funniest performance ever. The movie gets funnier every time you watch it. There is a reason why it spawned so many sequels, none of which are as funny, although Christmas comes close. In my opinion it is the best National Lampoons movie ever. The story is a simple family vacation in which everything goes horribly wrong, but its the way in which Chevy Chases Character (Clark) reacts to what happens that gives you the none stop laughs. very early 80s movie, not too much laughs but there are some good ones!!! a brief female nudity scene so its not for kids!!!! Sort of drawn out theme but fun to watch!!! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

The description says this is Far superior to its sequels but I would like to say if you liked this movie then you need to watch all four of the Griswald movies (I don't count the Christmas vacation 2). Christmas Vacation is one of the most quoteable movies of all time and should be a yearly christmas tradition. European vacation and Vegas vacation aren't quite as good as the other two but still have very funny molments. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

This one will live on as a classic. Completly funny and reminds me of some of my own childhood trip memories. If you have not seen this movie, watch it. This is the 1st in the "Vacation" series. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
