I was caught up in the intrigue. Somewhat predictable, but you can get past that with the exitement and thrill. Enjoy! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This movie could easily have been condensed into 20 minutes and saved us all the agony of having to watch Nicole Kidman's bangs hang over her eyes until she FINALLY asked Sean Penn to read her the letter at the end because she obviously couldn't see through her hair. The outcome was not a surprise and the plot dragged along Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I felt that Nicole Kidman was great, and I normally do not like Sean Penn but I felt he was excellent in this role. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

loss and a political/ideological conversion of sorts. Her performance is powerful and convincing. Sean Penn, however, I found to be plodding and exacerbating. His constant mumbling and head bobbling was infuriating and he came off more like a deranged fool than a man attempting to deal with the loss of his wife. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? But Kidman and Penn have NO chemistry. It feels like they are in different rooms reading lines from different movies in one scene it is so bad. Carolyn Keener does a good job as Penn's sidekick, though. And in the movie itself, it's just not clear who some of the secondary characters even are. Maybe that was supposed to add mystery - it failed. The movie just isn't a winner, it could have much better. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Sean Penn and Nicole Kidman had absolutely zero chemistry. The plot was confusing due to its out of sequence presentation, which works well for other films but not here. Kidman really struggles as her character lacks any sort of charisma to carry the plotline. Pass on this one. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

You have to be an idiot to suspend disbelief for a moment in this movie. It much more represents Sean Penn and Nicole Kidman's fantasy of the real world as opposed to the real world itself. Stack it on the shelf next to The Day After Tomorrow and An Incovenient Truth: movies that have no basis in fact or fiction. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
