Directed by Spike Lee, She Hate Me follows John Henry "Jack" Armstrong (Anthony Mackie), who is fired from a posh job in biotechnology after informing the proper authorities of some sketchy business dealings from within the company. Unemployed and desperate for some quick cash, Jack accepts a strange offer -- his ex-girlfriend Fatima (Kerry Washington) says she will pay him generously if he successfully impregnates her. Once word gets out among the lesbian community, Jack is inundated with requests, and is initially quite happy with his new direction in life. However, things -- as they are wont to do -- get complicated. There's his former employer, who is actively trying to pin the blame for their wrongdoings on his shoulders, for one thing, and it isn't long before the moral implications of his life as a sperm donor come to the forefront. The film co-stars John Turturro, Ellen Barkin, Woody Harrelson, Monica Bellucci, and Q-Tip. ~ Tracie Cooper, Rovi

This has got to be the worst movie Spike Lee has ever done! The concept for the movie was original and interesting, which is I wanted to see it. Sadly, and to my disappointment, the concept was the only interesting thing about this movie. The scenes were OVER-ACTED, the monologues were long and preachy, and nothing is more irritating then having a movie spoon-fed to its audience. Reference: Jack's father gives himself an insulin shot, turns to Jack and says, "This damn Diabetes". Could we as an audience not figure out that he had Diabetes? Have we as an audience become so lazy that we needed this information spoon-fed to us? Is independent thinking now a thing of the past? It was at that moment that I turned my DVD player off. Forty-five minutes of my life was enough life wasted on this movie. Spike, please go back to your "School Daze"!

Don't expect something simply for the cast names. Expect a different kind of movie and just watch it for what it is. It's actually quite captivating and satisfying. A totally different view of the corruption and politics we have all grown to hate. Well worth the watch.

This is NOT a comedy. It shouldn't be in the comedy category. Very slow moving. Bad rental.

A-typical Spike Lee tale. It blends idealistic controversy, with social possibilities very nicely. "One a dem brainy flim'dem". A pallet for "Spike's Joint" is also recommended.

This was a good film for the open minded audience. But, not for kids -- At times I became a bit embarrassed and I watched it with my spouse. But overall it was a good movie, with lots of hidden messages. Classic Spike Lee.

This movie was too long, did not hold my interest, and lacked story line. I was mislead by the movie description and found way too much time spent on the sexual scenes and not enough developing the story line. This movie was so disappointing that I was compelled to write my first ever movie review.

ABSOULUTELY NO ARTISTIC, COMEDIC, POLITICAL, OR EVEN SEXUAL VALUE. YOU WOULD BETTER USE YOUR TIME EAVSDROPPING ON SOME ONE ELSES OBSCENE PHONE CALLS, OR POLISHING YOUR CAT'S TOE NAILS. IT'S BAD...REALLY BAD. GOOD FOR A GOOD SNOOZE THOUGH. I SLEPT THROUGH IT.
