Their advertising is designed to deceive and capture the youngest of us. Contrary to a previous review, Morgan was not a vegan - but regardless - to start on this venture as a healthy individual, and in less than 30 days, become extremely unhealthy, is enlightening. Every school kid should see this. And then tell their parents. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Finally! someone has got it right with regard to exposing Corporate America for what it is - money-grubbing, socially irresponsible greed mongers motivated only by a desire to get fat off getting everyone fat, while simultaneously killing everyone as they do it. Man, this documentary touches upon SO many problems with America. And the kids?! From corporations and advertising to the Political Machine, Super Size Me exposes the growing (literally) epidemic with consumers unknowingly being manipulated and strung out by unhealthy, chemically-infused products from conglomerations no different from the drug dealer on the corner.
If this doesn't motivate you to become an activist or to get up and make a difference...there's a McDonald's right across the street. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I watched this film and it completely opened my eyes. I knew fast food wasn't good for me before I watched this, but after seeing this film I didn't even want a fast food burger and fries. The best part of the whole documentary is in the special features. I think it's called 'The Smoking Fry.' Watch it and you will feel the same way I did. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More For your own health, I highly recommend watching this movie. You know going into it that eating only McDonalds is going to be bad... what's amazing is just how bad it is. Even the doctors who are monitoring his health are surprised at how quickly his health deteriorated. While I rarely go to fast food restaurants, this movie has given me the resolve to keep my son from going there unless its a very special treat. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More I thought this film was so well done, topical, and very funny. When I tell friends it is a documentary on how McDonald's food is bad for you...they often look at me like I am an idiot (as if I would need a film to tell me that). It is so much more, from school lunchrooms to the evolution of portion sizes, etc. The best part is that Morgan and his friends are like-able people...people you would hang out with...unlike a certain other documentary director who often lets his personality overshadow his work (and not in a good way).
A must see: The Smoking Fry featurette Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
