Read More I feel that this is not your typical gay movie in which the plot becomes lost in the sexual conquests or diminishes due to well sculpted nude "wanna-be" actors lose the audience. The actors are very believable and the story line is something that is very realistic. I could definitely see this as being based on a true story. The storyline is quite simple, ... Read More I recently saw this film on Logo, an LGBT network, and loved it. It's a love story, but not in the traditional sense: it's a boy-meets-boy and falls in love film.
The storyline is quite simple, actually: Christian, a good-looking gay waiter, falls for Aaron Davis, a staunch Mormon, who who is currently out on his first mission with three other missionaries. Davis, too, is gay, but because of the stringent Mormon code, cannot allow that aspect of his life to surface nor be revealed. The film follows their meeting and burgeoning relationship through some very difficult times they each go through. One of the toughest scenes to watch in the film is when Aaron's mother slaps him...
Not an Academy-award winning film, but a good movie for any gay individual/couple for a Saturday night. There are no hardcore sex scenes which, I think, adds to the beauty of the movie, and the language is not overly gratuitous. I highly recommend it. It is well acted, and has a professional polish.

The suicide scene should have been kept. It wasn't a tight script nor was the acting superb. But I fell in love with this story. And Steve SAndvoss. I have a soft spot for people that figure their feelings out and return to the ones they love. This entire story could have been ripped from the headlines, which is also sad, but makes it that much more appealing emotionally. It is one of the few movies that I kept until the copy I ordered arrived. This is definitley one to put in your library. Plus, Buffy's Amber bENSON was in it. Yeah!
