It was really slow. And had an ending that's gotten to familliar, even though it was somewhat unexpected (if that makes sense). Worth the rental though.

This is a predictable movie, although the acting was "ok", we figured out the ending very easily.

Robert DeNiro. Next time just go on vacation. Not an original "bone in it's body". It was "Hide and Seek" alright, see if you can find the movie it "ripped-off"!

I really liked this movie... I did not make the connection with the Secret Window, but then again I did not like the Secret Window... :( I found the acting to be superb... I really like Dakota Fanning... she is something special... and I cannot imagine any other 9 year old pulling off this role. Robert De Niro, was a great as ever. There are not many quality films of this type, which is problably why others see similiarities again and again... It happens. This movie is well worth watching if you enjoy this genre. I am pretty critical and I really liked this one.

The 2 stars are only given for the terrific acting of Dakota Fanning. I don't know why some people have compaired this movie to "The Sixth Sense" as the themes are not the same and the Sixth Sense was far superior. I was hoping that the movie would have been better considering DeNero starred in it. He played second fiddle to Fanning. The plot has been done before and the ending was not a surprise. It can be compared to "Secret Window" The alternate endings were more interesting to watch than the entire movie. If you like good films and not movies made for profit you won't like one.
