Read More I've been in a serious accident and lost consciousness in the middle of a 4 way traffic light. I was only out for 30 secs but thought that the whole accident was a dream! When I passed out, I immediately woke up in my home and proceeded to walk around and do my day to day things for a full hour before the lights and sounds of the intersection began to break in to what I thought was "reality."
When I woke up on the street, covered in blood and unable to move, I was very confused. Wasn't the accident the dream? Wasn't the real world where I just was? But no, just like this movie in which a young man is fatally injured in a car wreck.. his mind begins to interperate the people and sounds around him in a dream-like state. Several minutes turns to several days of sureal experiences in which fragments of reality are present, but seem very confusing due to the sureal nature of his dream-like existence. Well there is nothing obvious about this movie or it's story-line. What starts out and seems like a great thriller in the vein of M. Night Shamalayan, ends on a terrible note. The whole movie is spooky up until the final 20 minutes at which point you are expecting things to be explained and straightened out, but they aren't. You are left wondering what in the heck just happened and then the irritation sets in as you realize you just watched this whole movie that HAD NO ENDING. A total waste of time. Read More I was actually very surprised and really enjoyed this movie. Everyone's just been coming up with FIGHT CLUB (dual identity) and SIXTH SENSE (already dead) knock offs since the day they came out. It's good to finally see a film branch out and throw people off in the end, with something more realistic. At first I thought the acting was a little off (expecting more of a reaction to certain things), but when the plot was revealed, it totally made sense and came together.
Spoiler Alert: I think it is incredible how they quoted HAMLET the 'tragic hero' in a story where his entire family died and yet, it didn't give away the ending. Very poetic. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

Read More Maybe I just don't get it. The movie kept me interested and I couldn't wait until I seen what happened in the end, but the end made the whole movie confusing to me. I get it may have been a dream for the dying kid, but how did the shrink have flashbacks? I wish someone could explain it because I feel cheated.
